Learning that Unsettles: A Quarter Century of Dialogue

It’s here! We’re delighted to share the launch of "Learning that Unsettles: A Quarter Century of Dialogue" - the publication capturing 25 editions of TheWorkshop!

At its heart, this publication is a space for exchange - between practice and reflection, between local and global contexts, between lived realities and new possibilities. It brings together 27 contributors who write from their own encounters with participation, asking what it means to share power, question assumptions, and imagine different futures.

The essays cover a wide terrain: from community health and child rights to indigenous knowledge, urban change, and democratising research. What ties them together is a willingness to experiment and a commitment to voices that are often unheard.

Rather than offering answers, this collection offers provocations. starting points for dialogue, for disagreement, and for new practices that emerge in the in-between.

We hope you will read it, sit with it, and carry it into your own work.
