FAQs

Q. How do I apply for a scholarship?
A. Very few scholarships are available. However, if you think your case is particularly deserving, kindly check the details given under the fee tab.

Q. How can I pay?
A. If you are a foreign participant, please email us for further details. If you are an Indian participant, you can pay either through bank transfer (email us for details), demand draft, bank cheque or by cash at our office in Delhi. In the last case, email us first specifying the date you would come so that we can confirm our availability.

Q. Can I get a single room?
A. No, there is no provision for single room occupancy.

Q. Can I stay with friends or relatives to save on accommodation costs?
A. No. The workshop is a residential ‘commune’ where the idea is for participants to have maximum opportunities to exchange, learn and interact by living, eating and working together. Tremendous emphasis is laid on the learning that participants get outside the classroom sessions. There are many events planned for the evenings such as film shows, talks and cultural night. The commune-like format of the workshop also helps participants form networks that last a lifetime, and for these reasons, we discourage participants from staying outside the venue.

Q. How do I get my Indian visa?
A. Please visit https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/index.html. Write to us at info@theworkshop.in for any support.

Q. Can I change my thematic application module once I reach the venue?
A. No. Participants are encouraged to select their choice of thematic application modules at the time of filling out the application form.

Q. From when and till when am I required to be present at the venue?
From 1st to 8th March 2017.

Q. Is the venue disabled-friendly?
Yes, partially.
